About Your Dentist

Charles D. Stetler, DDS, FAGD

Dr. Stetler graduated in 1985 from Baylor University in Waco. After completing his dental education at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, he started his dental practice in Wylie in 1989. The office moved to the present location in 1992. Dr. Stetler is involved in several organizations including the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and the Fourth District Dental Society. He is a member of the Peer Review Committee for the dental society.

Dr. Stetler is most proud of his membership in the Academy of General Dentistry. He completed the requirements needed for the prestigious Fellowship Award for the AGD. This award is only given to dentists who complete a minimum of 500 hours of continuing education and pass an eight hour examination. Less than 10% of all general dentists ever achieve this award. Dr. Stetler received his award aboard the USS Midway aircraft carrier in San Diego in June 2007.

Dr. Stetler has served as a Faculty Speaker/Lecturer for the Pride Institute, a dental consulting firm in San Francisco, California. He is involved with the Wylie community, having served as a member of the Parks and Recreation Board and as Director for the Wylie Chamber of Commerce.

While attending Baylor University, he met his wife, Lori, a board certified Dermatologist in private practice in Dallas, Texas. Married 31 years, the Stetlers have two sons, Jeff and Brandon. Jeff attends UTSW Medical School here in Dallas. He plans on going into Ophthalmology.  Brandon will graduate from Vanderbilt University this spring and will be working as a business consultant in Chicago for Huron Consulting. When not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Stetler enjoys golf, snow skiing, and travel.

Life & Hobbies

“My life outside of dentistry revolves around my wife, Kate, and our two-year-old son, Sam. I love taking Sam to the playground and library, and we love reading books together. We also have a feisty dog, Buster, who provides nonstop entertainment for our family. I’m an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs fan, and I can be seen sporting black and gold before all Mizzou football games. Go Tigers!”
